Pastor John Smith has been married to his amazing wife Sue for 50.5 years. He served as the Pastor of New Life Community Church, Sayville, Long Island, NY for 23 years (1979 - 2002). Then God called him to leave New Life and become a pastor to pastors and their families—especially those who are going through tough times.
John served as the Director of Development and Pastor Care with Alongside, Inc. for two years (2003 – 2004). In January, 2005 he was approved by Dr. Bert Moore and the Board of PastorCare Network, Inc. in Raleigh, NC to start the ministry of PastorCare in the West Michigan area. God continues to give him favor serving behind the scenes as a Confidential Coach with pastors, missionaries, non-profit ministry leaders, and business owners.
On November 26, 2022 John surrendered to God’s call to continue the legacy of Bishop John Williams by replanting Central Bible Ministries in America and Africa. John and Sue became church planters for the first time at age 70. The first worship service was on Monday evening, March 13, 2023 in the Buck Creek Community Church Café. John and Sue are loving being back in pastoral ministry in a local church with a unique mission and vision from God.
