Clifford E. Washington: M.M., Aquinas Graduate School of Management, B.A., Social Science, Aquinas College, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Currently the Engagement Specialist at Family Promise of West Michigan. He has oversight responsibility for the diversity and inclusion efforts, recruitment and community engagement.
Cliff is also an Associate Professor of Philosophy & Management teaching courses in Ethics, Human Resources and Management, at the West Michigan & Online Campus of the University of Phoenix and an Adjunct Professor teaching Criminal Justice courses at Grand Rapids Community College. He is active in the community as a board member with Central Bible Ministries, Executive Board member of the ACLU Western Michigan Branch, the local chapter of NOBLE (National Association of Black Law Enforcement Executives), and also a past member of the IRB (Institutional Review Board), HRRC (Human Research Review Committee) at GVSU, Allendale, MI. As co-author of Men to Men, Perspectives of 15 African American Christian Men, (Zondervan 1996), in chapter 13, Surviving the Criminal Justice System, Cliff details his 14 years of incarceration within the Michigan Department of Corrections and his reentry back to the community.
