Victory Sequence

First Fruits & Final Triumph - Advent 2024 - Day 11

"But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all." (1 Corinthians 15:20-28 KJV)

Understanding "Firstfruits"

When you've faced years of struggle, the concept of "firstfruits" may feel distant. However, Christ's resurrection serves as the first deposit in your victory account. It signifies that just as He rose, so too can you rise above your challenges. This victory is not just for Christ; it is for you and your loved ones.

The Reality of Death

Death is not limited to physical loss; it encompasses everything that threatens to extinguish your hope—addiction, shame, regret, and despair. Paul assures us that Christ is actively dismantling every enemy that stands in the way of our recovery and restoration.

Your Victory Truth

Your story is far from over. Every adversary that has sought to undermine your life—be it addiction, guilt, or fear—is already defeated under Christ's feet. Because He is the firstfruits, your victory is not just a possibility; it is a guarantee.

Preparing Your Heart for Christmas

As we approach Christmas, take a moment to reflect on the areas in your life that need the resurrection power of Christ:

  • Identify the "Death": What aspects of your life feel lifeless or hopeless? Is it a relationship, a dream, or perhaps your self-worth?

  • Recognize the Enemies: Which challenges seem insurmountable today? Acknowledge them and prepare to claim victory over them.

Engagement Prompts

  • Share Your "Firstfruits": What victories have you experienced in your journey? Your testimony can inspire others in your community.

  • Identify the Enemy: What specific enemy is Christ defeating for you right now? Sharing can help others find strength in their struggles.

  • Request Prayer: If you need prayer for victory, drop a "" in the comments. We are here to support one another in faith.

As we celebrate the Advent season, let us remember that Christ's resurrection is a powerful reminder of our potential for renewal and victory. Together, as families and faith communities, we can support one another in claiming the victories that are rightfully ours through Christ.
