Thread of Grace Advent  2024 - Day 21

"And Josiah begat Jeconiah and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon... And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ." (Matthew 1:11, 16 KJV)

God watched them all, each name a heartbeat in the rhythm of His plan. Jeconiah, whose line He cursed, yet through whom He would show that His grace overrides even His own curses.

Through exile and return, through forgotten generations and quiet faithfulness, He wove His scarlet thread. Some carried HIs promise in obscurity, never knowing they were vital links in His divine chain.

In Joseph, He chose a man who would embrace a role in a story bigger than himself - raising a Son who wasn't his own, protecting a promise he could barely comprehend.
