From Ashes to Beauty - Advent 2024- Day 7

"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound... to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning... And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations..." (Isaiah 61:1-4 KJV)

When Jesus read these words in His hometown synagogue, He said they were fulfilled in Him. But here's what's amazing - He now shares this anointing with us. Think about it: Who better to reach those in prison than those who've been there? Who better to help the brokenhearted than those whose hearts God has healed?

Your past isn't just your story - it's your ministry credential. Those "ashes" of your former life? God's turning them into beauty. Those "former desolations" - the relationships you damaged, the opportunities you lost? God specializes in restoration projects.

Your Purpose Truth:
You're not just a former inmate or recovering addict. You're anointed. Called. Commissioned to turn your experience into ministry, your pain into purpose.
