The Dream I Gave Joseph Advent 2024 - Day 24

"But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost." (Matthew 1:20 KJV)

My dear children,

Let Me tell you about Joseph, a son after My own heart. I watched him wrestling with his thoughts that night - honorable, yet hurting. He planned to handle things quietly, showing mercy even in his pain. This is why I chose him to be My Son's earthly father.

 

Do you see how I spoke to him? Through a dream - when his mind was finally still enough to hear Me. I called him "son of David" - reminding him of his royal lineage, even as he lived as a simple carpenter. I know many of you feel the same way: royal calling, ordinary life. But like Joseph, your willingness to obey matters more than your circumstances.

 

When I told him "fear not," I was asking him to trust Me with his reputation, his future, his very understanding of how things should be. Sound familiar? How often do I ask the same of you?

 

What you call disruption, I call divine appointment. What you see as problems, I use as platforms. Joseph thought his plans were unraveling; I was actually weaving them into My greater purpose.
